I’m sick of this, it’s been 2 days and I haven’t got my quick settings bar popping up any control panel where I can switch desktop to gamepad. which makes this piece of junk useless, I’ve tried many times finding a answer and I can’t seem to find one, the only times I saw people talking about this was that reseting and hard shutdowning the system. but this didn’t work for me. this started with me looking at the Intel Arc Control panel, and I saw a update, so I updated it. Biggest regret of my life because now it just won’t work. I tried seeing if there was an update and there wasn’t, I tried downgrading to the previous update, also didn’t work. The only thing that seemed to somewhat work, was uninstalling MSI Claw App, and reinstalling it. But it only works if you don’t shutdown the handheld. so it’s very annoying having to delete and reinstall EVERYTIME you want to a play game. You may think it isn’t that Annoying, but trust me it is. Please give me real answers to fix my problem here, if it’s some dumb answer telling me to just buy a Rog ally or a legion go, then don’t bother. I think MSI claw is a good device. Just needs more work and polish. like my issue here. (I won’t want to hard reset my MSI claw if that’s my only option here.)

Do you mean there is no control mode after popping out the quick settings as in the picture below?
If so, you can enter Quick Settings Editor to add Control Mode. (MSI Center M > Quick Settings Editor)
Besides, it is suggested to update BIOS and firmware to have the best optimization for Claw.
If it is the quick settings button not working, try to perform an EC reset.
Remind: I know that some users have encountered issues with Claw not booting after performing an EC Reset with an older version of the BIOS. However, this problem has not been seen with the newer version of the BIOS. If you plan to perform an EC Reset, I recommend updating to the latest BIOS to avoid this issue.

Can you share more detailed information?
I’m curious about how you triggered this issue and what the actual problem is. Is it that your Quick Setting button is malfunctioning, or is there no control mode after the quick settings pop up?
Did the problem resolve after updating the BIOS or firmware?

on my claw if you go to sleep mode the msi m quick settings software crashes and has to restart and because of this I have to press it like 10 times and have to wait. this started happening after controller 1.46 firmware update. somethings is in pretty bad shape in this software. I don't know what tho.

I think we have to wait for MSI to fix the problem.

So looks like CENTER M software has serious issues with storing user settings.
FIXIT PLEASE.

dude i reported this problem months ago they just ignored me. and now with a lot of people in this forum thanks for confirming my problem. I send countless reports of windows maintenance and msi m center reports. msi really doesn't care about their costumers. sad to see this nice hardware crumbled under bad service/software.

I have encountered a similar issue. My problem is that after waking up from Modern Standby Mode, there is a chance that the joystick and Quick Launch Setting Key will not work. According to MSI Support explanation, they are working on resolving this issue.

Regarding the issue, it seems MSI fixed it. After updating MSI Center M(1.0.2410.1701) and Firmware(1.56), the problem does not persist anymore.

That's not what I meant. What I meant is that pressing the quick settings button doesn't work every time I turn on the computer. Even if I open the MSI control center, there is no response. I have to restart the claw and then press the quick settings button to pop up this window. The handle firmware, MSI control center, and BIOS are all updated to the latest version. During this period, I reinstalled the Windows operating system, but the problem still exists.

The msi control center and handlebar firmware have been updated, but the problem still exists.

Try to clean install MSI Center M to check if the issue remains by following the FAQ: https://www.msi.com/faq/faq-10185
Is the quick settings button not working even if you pressed for a multiple times?
Sometimes it could be slower to open the menu, try multiple times to press the button.
Would the issue occurs after shutting down and rebooting or waking up from sleep/hibernate mode?

I tried reinstalling MSI Control Center M, but the quick settings button still didn’t work. I had to restart the claw before it took effect. In addition, I found that this claw cannot install the Windows 11 24H2 version of the operating system. If it is forced to install It will always be stuck on the "Please wait" interface, and there will be no response when I try to press any button. I can only force shutdown. If I install it with a Windows image, it will prompt an error that Windows cannot be installed. However, when I installed the Windows 11 23H2 version, it was very easy. Normally, I feel very distressed about this. I even wonder if it is a BUG of the Intel ultra5 135H processor or a problem with the motherboard.

If you can install Windows 11 23H2, you can download "Windows 11 Installation Assistant" to update 24H2 manually.

For the issue about the quick setting button, try to do EC reset first.
Remove the power adapter and long press the power button for over 25 seconds, plug in the adapter and power on Claw again.
Check if the issue remains after EC reset or not.

对于快速设置按钮的问题,请先尝试重置EC。
拔下电源适配器,长按电源按钮25秒以上,插入适配器,重新开机。
检查 EC 重置后问题是否仍然存在。
Automatic updates pushed and installed Windows 11 24H2 version OS. I have reset EC but the quick settings button still does not work. I am really going crazy.

This is an English forum, kindly recommend to post in English.
I will recommend to send the Claw to the service center for further assistance.

I contacted after-sales service, but the engineer did not solve the problem. In addition, I checked through 360 Security Guard and found that the startup time of the MSI Control Center was too long, causing the quick setting button to be unresponsive. Although I tried resetting EC and resetting Windows, I still could not completely solve the problem of the quick setting window not being able to pop up.

Is there any other slow performance or stutter issue while using?
Or have you ever changed the SSD/RAM?
Since you've tried multiple methods, clean install MSI Center M, reinstall Windows, EC reset, etc.
The only thing last might related to the issue would be SSD and RAM which might not compatible with your model.

The solid state drive has not been replaced. It is the original Kioxia PCIe 4.0 512G solid state drive of Claw.
